Waiting on Wednesday (#8)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, and it features an upcoming release that we're crazy excited for and literally cannot wait to get our hands on.

This week's pick is:

Reawakened
by Colleen Houck
Series: The Reawakened #1
Genre: Fantasy, Romance, YA
Publication Date: August 25, 2015
Publisher: Delacorte Press
Pages: 400 pages

When seventeen-year-old Lilliana Young enters the Metropolitan Museum of Art one morning during spring break, the last thing she expects to find is a live Egyptian prince with godlike powers, who has been reawakened after a thousand years of mummification.

And she really can't imagine being chosen to aid him in an epic quest that will lead them across the globe to find his brothers and complete a grand ceremony that will save mankind.

But fate has taken hold of Lily, and she, along with her sun prince, Amon, must travel to the Valley of the Kings, raise his brothers, and stop an evil, shape-shifting god named Seth from taking over the world.

From New York Times bestselling author Colleen Houck comes an epic adventure about two star-crossed teens who must battle mythical forces and ancient curses on a journey with more twists and turns than the Nile itself.

Why I'm Waiting...

For those of you who don't know, Colleen Houck won my heart about four years ago when I read the first book in The Tiger Saga. Tiger's Curse and the following installments remain my favorite books to this date (though it's possible that ACOTAR may be on its way to changing that), and I've been loudly screeching about the series to anyone who will listen - that means you, you lovely Twitter followers, you. A couple of days ago, I learned that Houck was writing another series, this time about Egyptian princes rather than Indian ones. Dudes, I would sell my soul with a smile on my face if it meant I could read this right now. Luckily for me, it turns out the novel releases in two months! I'm SO happy I didn't know about this book until now, because the wait would have killed me. If you haven't read Houck's novels yet, do yourself a favor and get Tiger's Curse from your nearest library or bookstore; you can thank me at a later time.

What book are you waiting on?
